Cedar Centre plaque imageOur premises are located at the far end of Castle Road, Rayleigh on the site of the Old Fire Station. The Cedar Centre comprises of two rooms and a small kitchen area all at ground level. The main room is approx. 80 square metres and is suitable for community groups, craft activities, chess, cards or games clubs, yoga, meditation, etc. We have a licence for activities using music, e.g. band practice. There are ample tables and chairs which can be arranged as needed.

The second room is 28 square metres and more suited to messy craft activities like painting, woodwork, pottery, etc. All rooms are well lit and centrally heated; the kitchen is amply equipped with tableware and utensils. In the entry hall there is a separate ladies and gents toilet.

There are two small parking areas to the front and to one side of the building.

All hall users will need to sign their understanding of and agreement to the following conditions:
The Centre is cleaned weekly and all users are expected to leave it clean and tidy with any moved items returned to their original places. No waste bins are provided so users must take away all their rubbish to be disposed responsibly.  All portable electrical items must be PAT tested; naked flames and flammable liquids are not to be used on the premises. On leaving there is a checklist which must be completed to ensure that the heating has been turned down, all electrical appliances are unplugged, all windows are locked and so forth.
